ukfamilycourts video profile

Postby NRparent on Thu Dec 20, 2007 12:02 am

There is a profile called UK family courts.

These are vie videos she (?) has posted up.... just in case other people are interested.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_C75RO6LL4

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eT5QcNj7KYo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kX4bm22hzUA

It seems that this profile has got the attention of the international community as well - and some of the international community are against the UK and forced adoption.

Copy and paste "I will put you on my home base website www.adopteerights.net,as well as link to the video on my YouTube profile. This is DEFINATELY an adoptee rights issue. Please if you don't mind, i'm also posting this to www.adultadoptees.org there are alot of activists there working towards reform in the UK and in the US as well as Canada.

Un-necessary adoptions are not in the child's best interest!"

And John is featured in the videos.

I like this - this is great. There was a particular piece of advice that this person gave which I like and that was about appointments that they were always at the most inconvenient time and to raise the issue with the judge. Something we might have to do....

I am a little upset today actually because our social worker called to begin preparations for the residency assessment and guess what our first meeting is on a work day for 4 or 5 hours so no chance of even having half a day off - gotta book the full day off.

I raised my concerns and asked if it was possible to stick to evenings and weekends like our guardian currently does and this person wasn't very sympathetic at all.

I can see how this is gonna go already......Impossible. Have to work to live and to provide for the child, but contact and meetings will take place in work time and the social worker already made comment that we need to display our availability to the courts and to this social worker.

This was something my husband was accused of before putting work before the child and I'm really worried.

Just because work/life demands are difficult to juggle now does not mean in any way shape or form that they would get in the way of the child. These people can make it so difficult. And if we did get the child - all of our annual leave would have been used in the residency/court process.

I got through 1 minute before I couldn't watch anymore.

It was when the child mentioned the brothers and sisters and a pair of shoes that got left behind - I can't bear to think about the devestation that being seperated from their family can mean to a child
