Private contact Centres Costs

Private contact Centres Costs

Postby lyndamac on Sat Nov 07, 2009 2:58 pm

I want the figures how much the government give to private contact centres when courts rule that parents must be sent their.Would you just look at the costs for contact .Thank you UKSecret courts for all your help. I want parents to ring me to give me their thoughts and tell me your experience of being lead into a debt culture to see your child. I spent well over £3,000 out of my benefit money which the law says is for me to live on . I struggled severe hardship going to these centres I was only offered my bus fare an then post final hearing not even this. Early contact I was offered £5 to look after a special needs child out in the community in the winter months. I sat an cried in the dark as I spent my gas bill money. My child put my money in slot machines went bowling an pictures and Nando's for a meal in the 4 hour contact session. Families on benefit do not have this money . I want letters sent by e-mail to lynmcdermott2003@yahoo.co.uk to show MP's what these courts are doing to financially ruin families . No family can afford to see their children when they are not supported by the Local Authority or in private law cases. I am doing a pod cast to if you want to take part in this want your say .e-mail me book a time to call me on sykpe .

Time to have your say now.

CAFCASS use costs as a "financial weapon" to prohibit contact, and not have any blame laid at their door.

They will charge someone on benefits of £4,500 a year, £2500 just to be assessed, and without any contacts actually taking place.
Leaving £2,000 a year for the person to live off.

These are issues that MP's need to be made aware of, as the SS used these tactics, to turn around and say the parent isn't attending contact, when it's quite impossible for that person to attend.

My one hour contact once a fortnight involves me taking a train and then a ferry, and on the way back it involves a ferry, a bus and a train. This has to come out of my benefit. My contact does not take place in a contact centre but in a place where I must spend money to feed my children. As well as the financial difficulties that are put in place I also never know what day, or what time, contact will take place.

Social workers remit is to hold families together or so they say.

I know that is rubbish.
