FOI reply on Friday. I've requested they internally transfer the FOI to the school, as they've offered to.

_____

Request for Information - reference 3674

Thank you for your request which was received by the Assembly Government on 25th September 2009. You asked for:

*

Information relating to the physical restraint policy of [...].

Please let me know if this is not an accurate description of the information you have requested.

I have not found any information that fits this description. Information on this matter is held at school level, as all schools must have a behaviour policy which should set out how they respond to behavioural problems including their approach to the use of physical force within the school. The Welsh Assembly Government issues guidance on physical restraint policies within schools and this is available in the Welsh Office Circular 37/98, entitled The Use of Reasonable Force to Control or Restrain Pupils. The Circular states that the head teacher should draw up the school's policy on the use of physical force and discuss this with both the Governing Body and the staff who may have to apply it . The Circular also gives guidance on the recording of incidents, in which force is used to control or restrain a pupil,

You're speaking Welsh!!

When they take the School register you have to shout out "yma" which means "here". :D :D

Joke: why is the toll on the Severn bridge on the English side?
To keep out the riff raff. (tee hee).

I can't tell you the rest of the jokes.
