Justice For Families

I'm posting this link for anyone who wishes sign this petition.

It's from a lady on Dear Denise. Apparently her neice's baby was murdered by her own father, and yet he retains parental rights on the sibling and any future children he may have.

What I can't seem to grasp is: My family member who had to go through the justice system (after her baby was murdered by the father) had to endure not only the perpetrators presence at the Family Court but he also had Rights! He was tried in Criminal Court for Murder on one child but was allowed a 'say' when it came to their older child's future! He had also been banned from ever working with children yet if they let him out after his served the 'life' sentence, he can father more children!!!! What a c*** system!!!???

Why is it that when these terrible things happen it's often only other people who've been there at a similar place who empathise? I've always felt so strongly for people like the Payne family, Hollie and Jessica's but never in a million years did I imagine my own family coming to terms with this. I can't even remember much about the day I got the news.
