Pearson Assessments - distributor of assessments

If anyone is about to or in need of challenging an assessment carried out by a Psychologist then this website is a world of info.

All tests currently undertaken in the UK stem from this company in the US

The MMPI-2 test and MCMI 3 and such,

If you know the name of the assessment carried out, do a quick search and it will show you the level of qualifications the assessor must posess, along with what can and cannot be achived with the test.

You will also find that 90% of the assessments cannot be carried out under none clinical cases.

You might not be aware that ALL tests administered in the UK are tests trialed on convicted criminals in the USA, it should have no bearing on how good a parent you are but the research used on these tests does not fulfil the use on parents in the UK.

The more you read into these tests the more stronger case you can build against the tests which were carried out on either parent or client.

You also need to be aware that the criteria used in all psych assessments only has a shelf life of 12 months, if the assessment was carried out beyond the twelve month period this would be another avenue to use.

Hope this help some of you out there.

Thanks this will be extremely helpful

I wondered why no other parties answered my email when I informed them they could NOT rely on the previous psyche assessments, which therefore meant they could NOT include the previous proceedings bundles for the ISW they were hoping to instruct.

OH DEAR HAVE I BEEN A CLEVER LITTLE LIP ?????

Can anyone point me to a link/website/article that says that psych assessments only have a 12 month shelf life?
