MumOS, have you contacted Emily to get your case assigned to JFF?

If your son wants to come home, how old is he?
Gillick Competent is 12 years. Is he around that age?

If he's in care, you can ask him to contact Voice. HE must do this- you can't. Get him a voice worker to assist him and getting his voice heard over the corrupt care home. (He's income and a revenue stream, so they'll hold on to him as long as they can).

Voice video. Telephone and email details

The summary of the survey of home educated children and young people, which
got 777 responses, can be found here: carried out by Education Otherwise
http://tinyurl.com/2009HEchildrensurvey

The survey which asked home educating families to keep a diary for a week,
to show that their children are not "hidden", which 500 families responded
to, is summarised here: http://tinyurl.com/2009HEfamilydiaries

Please feel free to pass these links on to local groups, other national
lists, friends, MPs - whoever you think might be interested.

Thanks

been trying to get him to understand stuff but its a bit hard whenhe questions me and i can only whisper for a few seconds b4 the contact worker looks over every thing is written down . he is over 12 .but at the begining they wouldnt recognise his sen but since they started court they have had to .. which is in one way good but now im concerned that they will say hes not able to voice his opinion . been trying to get the voice thing to him in a diffrent way but the school are watching the people they know i know i think. the foster people arent even letting him give me his mobile so i can charge it so its been dead since hes been there.

You might have to get devious in how you tell him about VOICE.

Are there any kids at the school, who could give him the number of VOICE?

If a kid slips him the telephone number that might be a way around the impasse.

I know what you mean about they write everything down. So devious might be an alternative plan.

IMO the SS should inform the child of their rights particularly the right to speak to an independent person, and independent in the true sense not so-called independent like council complaints officers.

In fact this should also be the responsibility of the guardian.

That's because they are blackmailing Gestapo scum on the whole, but it should be made law that they have the right to an independent, because you could say everyone involved in the case is not independent and have their reasons to lie as to what the child wants.

I became jaded from the moment that I became aware of the statutory local authority euphemism: Education Welfare Officer: to protect the welfare of the statistics of school attendance: this explanatory definition by the school's own admission.

parent & mumofson,
You're up against the daftest ideology ever.

The ss believe that if you home ed, you must be hiding abuse.

It's as simple as that.

The telephone is the one the thing that you can insist on.
You TELL THEM CHARGE the childs phone up or threaten them with court

its outrageous. if you ARE allowed to talk to your child on the phone
you tell the ss. you tell them you want it sorted.
Dont ask. put it in writing aswell.
I dont know if u have got a message about voice or not.
REGARDLESS. Im sorry for shouting THEY make me .....upset.

Your child has a phone he is allowed to talk to you then you insist and dont shutup about it.
the rest is not do able without the phone which you are entitled to insist is charged up.
