It is an old law that basically allows the imprisonment of someone to be challenged.

That includes children (although it gets kicked back into the family division).

Habeas corpus

Any ideas on using/issuing a Writ for Habeas Corpus in order to get to see your own child in care, who's been subjected to Domestic Violence, whilst in that local authority placement, especially when the local authority seems to be whitewashing your duly reported concerns as a parent ?

Isn't this similar to the Charles Roy Taylor scandal?

Possibly, but I'm not aware about it - let me explain my point properly, which is, that my son was placed by my LA - despite my objections and despite (my ex) the natural mum's objections - with his present so-called carer's who are not even able to protect his physical safety - yet citing 'possible future harm' as the reason to rule me out as a suitable single parent after his mum withdrew herself as carer - so I am aggrieved by the SS double-standards at play here.

I want ADVICE/GUIDANCE over issuing a Writ of Habeas Corpus in order to :

i) get to see my son, to soothe & comfort him, as his Dad, because he witnessed Domestic Violence, (because under the Care Plan I've to wait 3 months for 2 hours contact, i.e. 8 hours per year, when I've never even done anything wrong to him), and,

ii) to get the local authority to explain and justify it's action/inaction over my concerns over my son's safety, because I fear they are just whitewashing my concerns, instead of investigating them properly, making my PR seem worthless!

Any ideas?

Firstly make sure you are a JFF case through the casework procedures and talk to your allocated advisor.
