http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&channel=s&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-GB%3Aofficial&q=family+law+bench+book+section+8+orders&btnG=Search&meta=cr%3DcountryUK%7CcountryGB

You need to copy and paste the "tiny" link I put above.

That should render you with the family law bench book. I am not sure it that's what you are looking for but it might help.

thanks nr but that wasnt the one i was talking about.

i have found out i have actually got hold of is a social workers hand book guide to the childrens act, care orders volume 1.

it has alot of useful information in it, which states what they should do, when they havent done it.

& the consequences if they do not do this etc. I am not sure how we got hold of it, but was looking for a childrens act book, and come across that.

i was just wondering if anyone has actually ever read anything of this?

and if something like that could be used.

sounds like you found a bit of treasure there but i'm sure they can manage to talk there way round anything which is not helpful to them. how up to date is it?

It is dated in 1991, but it says it is still used today.

Although there is an updated version in 2006 but that has just added points on adoption.

i cant see why you cant use it, if you do have a pre planned response if they say its out of date or try and twist anything. think of the responses you may get and have answers cause they just love to make people look stupid and destroy credibility

The "easy way to find out if a guideline has been replaced is to phone up any SSD and ask if a section has been updated, then quote the guideline and date. They tend to want to phone you back, but turn it around and call them back....they might forget to call you.

You need to use the updated version due to law changes.

It sounds interesting though. A copy should be sent to all victims -sorry service users. LOL
