In All honesty Anon, most SW's have their C.V's attached to many of their statements outlining their rice crispy (got free in a packet of cereal) qualifications and experience.

If the SW is on your case then I cannot see any reason why they could restrict you to their CV details. I would just go for it and see what the outcome will be.

These idiots are full of the proverbial, I joined just to take a more in-depth peek and I am disgusted at their attitudes, especially as they think they have the right to violate a persons right to privacy, and then to go gung-ho about an agony aunt fom The Sun Newspaper being invited to a GSCC Conference. What ever happened to them being willing to work alongside and in conjunction with all other organisations? Jeepers bloody social workers are trying to become a law unto themselves, and it is time a the judiciary started tell them what is what and putting them in their places once and for all. They have a duty to uphold the law more so than anyone to set a good example to society!!!

The benefits office uses facebook to target benefit fraud. There was an article about a year back, where a single parent was claiming benefits. Their council tax was reduced because they claimed they were single. Someone in the benefits office found the lady on facebook and on their profile was "in a relationship" and there were photo's of the lady and her fella.

While I disagree with spying on people and using the information found to that person's disadvantage, if the information is available to anyone to see, a social worker using facebook to see that an "uncontactable" service user is still "ok". There is some good in this process. One would have to assume that the social worker updated their records accurately after finding the service user.

There are advantages and disadvantages to all things. Using fb or any other public forum to remove children for adoption is dispicable and not something that should become standard practice. many people use their online accounts to have a rant and let off steam in a safe, constructive and controlled way, doesn't mean they are a danger to their own child!

I know sols regularly warn their clients who are involved in care proceedings to deactivate of delete their fb accounts for the very reason that they are often used as evidience against them in court, which is absolutely shocking!

It depends what the parent is saying I suppose. If it were sustained anger and anguish it should maybe be considered as those types of feelings can spill over, to keep a lid on things at the hype and height of proceedings means sidestepping many feelings. THEY can kiss my lily white arse, Im the champion at the sidestep shuffle, and I dont think its a good place to say wot u dont even need to. on fb, with all kinds of trawlers. oooeeh and I think its a much better way to be very very clear with them straight from the start. SHOUT, F*** OFF you child stealing bas**** really loud, that should get em shuffling up the road pretty sharpish

like im having sausages tonight over and over could get a bit embaressing, on fb, I kno someone who was pratically like that.
